The district administration Lüchow-Dannenberg is located at the Elbe river in the East of Lower Saxony – not far from Hamburg, Hanover and Berlin. During a long period, the region was almost completely enclosed by the inner-German border. Lüchow-Dannenberg is partly responsible for EU regional development programmes and experienced in EU regional projects. Cooperation has been also established with the creative sector.
