Interacció is a biennial meeting point for professionals in the field of culture, heads of cultural departments at public administrations and cultural agents, being a reference for discussion and reflection. Interacció brings together politicians, managers, artists, thinkers and researchers from both public private sector, as well as associations. The initiative has a long history dating back to 1984. This year, Interacció is focusing its reflection on the public value of culture and the tools to manage it. The new edition includes an Online Platform that provides content to the different workspaces as well as facilitates their communication. Although almost 5 months to go, we would like to inform you now about the final large and public event of our project that will take place in Ghent on Monday, 26 November 2012. We would like it to be a place where policy makers at regional, national and European levels and representatives of the cultural and creative industries (and not only) meet to discuss the challenges ahead of us, the findings of the CREA.RE project and the network it built up over the last 3 years with various EU projects and initiatives. Barcelona Provincial Council will host CREA.RE poster exhibition. The opening will take place next 17th October, together with the presentation of Interacció online platform. Interacció is a biennial meeting point between cultural agents and a space for reflection about culture at a local level, organized by Barcelona Provincial Council dating back to 1984. In this occasion, for the first time, Interacció will launch, prior to the main event, an online platform to start the debate, to collect ideas, experiences, project presentations, etc. related to the main theme of this edition: the public value of culture.
