Local Support Group (LSG) for creative sectors in Poznań and Wielkopolska region looks back to a successful year 2012

In 2012/2013 the Local Support Group for creative sectors, established in the framework of the “CREA.RE” project, intensified its activities. In the first quarter of 2012 the group has been significantly enlarged including representatives of all major institutions in Poznan dealing with the creative sectors. The LSG gathered different local institutions active in the field: local and regional authorities (Poznan City Hall, Marshall Office of the Wielkopolska Region, Association of Poznań Metropolis, District Councils), universities (Poznan University of Technology, University of Arts in Poznań, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań), institutions of regional importance, NGOs and companies representing the creative sectors („Zamek” Cultural Centre, Pro...

CREA.RE Final Conference – A crowning conclusion to the EU-wide 3-year project

The project CREA.RE was launched in 2010 with funding from the European Union and INTERREG IVC (link to I4C) to better integrate the creative sector into the economic and social regional development. 12 project partners from 10 European countries were involved in the project, contributing and exchanging their know-how, good practise examples and experience. On November 26, 2012, the CREA.RE Final Conference took place in Ghent (Belgium) under the motto: ‘The project ends, the cooperation continues.’ The province East Flanders decided, supported by the project CREA.RE, to create a regional development plan to promote creative industries. In 2011, Ghent was proclaimed ‘the most creative city’ and a ‘metropolis in pocket format’...

CREA.RE poster exhibition in Barcelona

Last 17th October took place the opening of CREA.RE poster exhibition in Barcelona. It took place together with the launch of Interacció Online platform, addressed to professionals in the field of culture, heads of cultural departments at public administrations and cultural agents, as a virtual meeting point for discussion and reflection about culture and cultural policies. The posters, printed on roll ups, were placed in the central courtyard of the Pati Manning, an asset in the historical centre of Barcelona. Mònica Querol, Deputy of Culture at Barcelona Provincial Council, and Ferran Mascarell, Catalan Councilor of Culture, presented the ceremony, which closed with a small jazz concert.
